In amateur radio, QRP operation means transmitting at reduced power levels while maximizing the operator skills and abilities.
QRP comes from the standard Q code used in radio communications, where "QRP" and "QRP?" are used to request, "Reduce power," and ask "Should I reduce power?"
QRP operators are passionate operators who excel in numerous facets of Amateur Radio, including homebrewing, antenna design, and the study of propagation.
